The Set deadline bulk action
- Last updated on March 15, 2023 at 10:22 PM
The Set deadline action sets a deadline against any incomplete objectives assigned to accounts within the group and role.
You can see which learning activities have been enrolled against which role by expanding that role (click on the arrow sort icon at the end of the role to expand that role).
Steps: Run the Set deadline bulk action
For information on the parameters mentioned in this workflow, please scroll to the Set deadline parameters section, which is at the bottom of this page.
- Go to the Learning Management System.
- Go to the left index and select a group from the Groups section.
- When the group opens on the page, go to the top of the page, and select the Learning Activities tab.
- When the tab opens, go to the Enrolled Learning Activities section and click on the Bulk Action option.
* This option is only available if Enrolled Learning Activities have been added for the group and the account viewing the page is a Site Administrator. - When the Bulk Action drop-down appears, select the Set deadline option – an example is provided below:
A floating panel called Bulk action – Set deadline appears on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
Clicking on the arrow at the top of the panel minimises it, and clicking it while minimised will maximise it.
- Go to the list of Enrolled Learning Activities (this is not in the panel, this is on the page itself) and click on the name of the Enrolled Learning Activity that you want to run the bulk action against.
- When the Enrolled Learning Activity expands, select the objectives you want to run the bulk action against.Clicking on the radio button will not expand the activity. It will, however, check on all the objectives within that activity.
Clicking on a different activity removes your original selection. - Go back to the panel and review the header. The total number of objectives reflects how many objectives you have selected.
- Review the Include sub groups’ checkbox; this is ticked on by default. You can untick it or leave it as is – depending on your needs.
- Review the Do not alter existing deadlines checkbox; this is ticked on by default. You can untick it or leave it as is – depending on your needs.
- Choose a deadline date from the Deadline date field.
- Click the Proceed button at the bottom of the panel to run your bulk action.
The panel disappears and a warning displays; the purpose is to confirm with you that you want to proceed.
An example of the warning is provided below: - Click the Proceed button to continue.
Alternatively, you can click the Cancel button to cancel the process.
When you click Proceed, a processing message appears, then once the action is completed, a confirmation appears – for example:
